Dilip Chhabria

Inspired by the tenets of Leonardo Da Vinci, an artist-engineer, marketeer and financier, all rolled into one, Dilip survived the excruciating drop-out rate at the pre-eminent and Ivy League Art Centre College of Design, Pasadena, USA. Being restless at General Motors, USA, he returned to India to incept at that time an automotive design company, a move seen so audacious even today, but the sheer obsessive, trance-like passion made him dive into the business of design.

He has succeeded in creating a 500-man company with almost no employee turnover. His typical day consists of turning out about 50 sketches. Having successfully turned himself from a luddite to a technology friend, he usually keeps a 12-14 hour workdays and believes in the dictum of “world is holiday and holiday is torture”.
